Not to armchair this, but I am intrigued by what logic someone concluded that, an image captioned as "two creatures", which appears to show two identical creatures standing next to each other, is actually one conjoined creature.

A more generous interpretation would be that the image has been studied by archeologists who know a bit more than we do about ancient Egyptian mythology and pictography, and who recognize certain telltale signs that this is meant to be a single creature and not (as an armchair Internet commenter might assume) several.

Prob need to speak to an Egyptology expert.

It always amazing to me how close some of these buildings to the site are.

These look like ordinary middle class buildings too. your view from your bathroom is an ancient temple from 3 century AD ?

If you live in the new world this seems cool and interesting. If you live in these places it's annoying because it means every time you try and build something an army of archeologists descends on your property and stops you from doing anything.

A neighbor of ours in the 90s started building an extension to their country house. They found a bunch of skeletons, thinking it was a mass grave from a war they called the police to deal with it. Unfortunately for them they couldn't build the well and they didn't lack the morals to bulldoze the whole thing overnight like some other people did.

I do hope removing the soot doesn't precipitate degenerative reactions. Looks amazing!
